So, I know a lot of people in this fandom have been afraid of this new Tumblr thing and everyone jumping ship because of it. It’s a scary thing, especially when you think of losing the fam-ily we have all grown to have here. And as much as I’d love to stay optimistic and stay here blissfully ignoring the chaos going on around me, I can’t. So that’s why I made a Dreamwidth account. It’s not as slick looking or feeling as Tumblr is, but its the next best thing that you can currently get for free.
Why am I telling you all this? Well because I decided to make a Thomas Sanders Fan community over there, there wasn’t one so I took the liberty of making my own. I want us all to continue what we have here elsewhere. Now, Tumblr could potentially bounce back from this terrible flop, but in the meantime, if you want to try and preserve our fam-ily then please consider making a Dreamwidth account and joining this community. Thank you, and hope you all have a happy holiday season. 🙂
So apparently, posts are just disappearing out of thin air. That’s greaaat.
Hmm. I hate to jinx myself but it looks I am?? safe from it so far??
I saw a post from @ironwoman359 on my dashboard about a series of messages @vigilantvirgil DM’d her. Which is basically:
So it’s possible for any people who reblogged @thelogicalloganipus‘s open letter that their posts might start disappearing on them. It might have something to do with the fact that the post was flagged by the bots?? I’d thought i would pass the information along, since I’m still not seeing Taylor’s posts outside my dashboard and there is numerous people who are dealing with this issue right now.
It’s affecting other communities too, not just fanders and not just people who reblogged Thelo’s post…it just so happens since we’re a smallish fandom a lot of our blogs who had that problem reblogged that letter. The posts aren’t vanishing, they’re still visible in the archives, and even on your blog, but you have to go waaaaay back, tumblr for some reason is throwing them behind a bunch of old posts.
Reblogging for the clarification!
I’m also dealing with this, someone said that they couldn’t see my posts. It was also after I reblogged Thelo’s post. I think I heard it’s also about people just being vocal about the issue
I saw someone suggest that if you edit the posts that are staying at the top of your blog that they’ll go back where they belong. I don’t see the problems happening on my blog so I can’t be 100% sure it works but I think it’s worth a try.
It happens to i think most people who had their content flagged a sertain percent. Meaning i think half of the fanders and most of tumblr in general dont have their blogs refreshed.
However, the most bizzare thing is, that on the dash they all appear as normal
Hmmm interesting. Can anyone confirm if it’s happening to my blog?
SEEMS SO. This is the last post visible:
My blog’s doing the same thing. (the post it’s ‘stuck’ on being the brutal honesty hour ask game)
I have contacted support (https://www.tumblr.com/support), and they’re working on fixing it. (They just sent an email saying it may take longer than expected so THATS nice.) I suggest you do the same.
The posts also show up on the dashboard- just not the blog itself to anyone that isn’t you. Seems indivuals you tag in your posts can see they’ve been tagged but, they can’t see it when they click the notif link.
I sent in a thing to support to with the same response so they know it’s happening.
Honestly a system roll back from before the mass purge would do them a lot of good.
to clarify they do this to people who pirate movies, shows, or songs, they got exposed by 4chan and some high level leaks, and they STILL do this because most of the people working for “justice” dont believe that the high fines for pirating are enough, better to put em in prison for two decades and then theyre a creepy registered sex offender until they die. thats what they get for sharing a copy of Zootopia, right? totally deserved
Reminder that the government exists solely to defend the institution of private property, and any other actions they take are extraneous and/or meant to justify its existence
