Deceit sighs sadly as he skips a rock across the pond. Luckily the sun has been out so itās not too cold today, but it is windy.
He grips his cape tightly and teeth chatter slightly when the cold wind nips at his skin. He accidently locked himself out of the mindscape and everyone else was busy making a video with Thomas, so it was empty.
As much as this situation looks bad, Deceit doesnāt mind. Really. Itās not the first time he locked himself out, nor will it be the last.
He throws another rock across the lake and watches it skip 3 times before sinking.
Heās about to throw another one when he smells something. It doesnāt smell like smoke or anything bad. Almost like itāsā¦chocolate?
Deceit stands up and sniffs the air, following the smell all the way to Thomasās apartment.
He rises up and looks around. No oneās there, but everything looks soā¦nice. Thereās stockings on the wall, cookies set up nicely on a tray smelling delicious, the Polar Express movie on the menu, and blankets on the couch.
āOh, there you are Deceit.ā Deceit turns quickly to the stairs and sees Virgil sitting in his normal spot. Instead of his hoodie, heās wearing his Christmas sweater with sweatpants and a Santa hat.
āPatton was looking for you. We were going to invite you for our Christmas special movie night.ā
Deceit wasā¦invited? Willingly? Was that all a joke? Deceitās expression gave it away.
āNo, itās not a joke Deceit. Youāre invited by all of us. You are part of Thomas.ā
Deceit slowly nods as the others appear. Patton goes up to Deceit and hugs him tightly, so happy he showed up after all. Roman and Logan went to the kitchen, after greeting Deceit, to finish making the hot coco for the movie night. Thomas is starting the movie with captions so they can be ready. Virgil goes to the couch, plopping down and grabbing a blanket.

If you canāt find a place on your blog for Patrick Stewart in a bathtub dressed like a lobster, then your blog probably doesnāt deserve such majesty anyway.
It has returned to my dash and I cannot fight the compulsion to reblogā¦
the patrick lobster appears only once in a thousand years, reblog for good luck
MOM OF THE YEAR. WHERE WAS THIS ATTITUDE WHEN I WAS IN GRADE SCHOOL.
Thereās a difference between not sharing and refusing to be bullied.
Not to mention I feel like the wholeĀ ālearning to shareā thing should be applied more to communal resources. Likeā¦if thereās a limited set of bouncy balls or playground equipment, then yes, teaching children to take turns and respect one another is important.Ā
But if something belongsĀ to someone, the decision to share becomes one that carries a lot more responsibility. There are questions children should be taught to ask, including,Ā āis the person asking me to share someone I should trust with my property? Do I know this person? Will they treat my property with respect or will they abuse or harm it? Will they respect my wishes when I ask them to give it back? Am I using it right now? Do I want to let someone else do so?āĀ
Teaching kids that their autonomy, their wishes, and their rights to their own property should always be in the hands of strangers is irresponsible and dangerous.Ā
